Deborah E. Lipstadt, 72, is a renowned expert on modern Jewish history, antisemitism, and the Holocaust. For more than 25 years, she has taught those subjects as a professor at Atlanta’s Emory University. Lipstadt’s published works include Denying the Holocaust (1993), History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier (2005), and The Eichmann Trial (2011). Her latest book, released in 2019, is Antisemitism Here and Now.
Quote: “Ultimately, this book is all too necessary for anyone who is in need of insight or who wishes to discuss the current relationship between the Jewish people and the world around us. Indeed, beyond the need for Jews to read this for self-understanding, we should share this book with those around us who may not grasp the severity of antisemitism today.” — from a review of Antisemitism Here and Now by Judah Kerbel, linked below.
