The day after Yom Hashoah 2022, New York State Sen. Elijah Reichlin-Melnick (D) presented a declaration naming April 29 “End Jew Hatred Day.” He issued the declaration at the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education in Suffern, NY, near the center of the large local Orthodox community. Reichlin-Melnick began his remarks by noting the Empire State leads the country in antisemitic incidents. New York’s state legislature will have to recognize the proposed annual event for it to become official.

All of you who are here today are part of that solution. This [#EndJewHatred] movement is part of that solution.’ ”
