Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 73, recently penned a powerful op-ed piece in The Hollywood Reporter criticizing the sports and Hollywood worlds for not voicing outrage over recent expressions of antisemitism — including by Black public figures. Abdul-Jabbar called out Ice Cube, DeSean Jackson, and Stephen Jackson, all of whom are Black and have been in the news lately for making antisemitic statements. He also called out Chelsea Handler (Jewish) and Donald Trump. Abdul-Jabbar’s op-ed is linked below.
